Morpher |
Meshworks Morpher V4.0 from DEP is an advanced path breaking softaware that:
- Allows the user to rapidly morph an existing FE/CFD mesh to an intended target shape.
- Converts regular FE/CFD models to intelligent ‘parametric’ FE/CFD models and enables optimization using the parameterized models.
- Helps create quick concept models by cutting, morphing, blending & stitching existing FE/CFD meshes.
- If necessary, allows user to re-mesh and re-assemble FE/CFD models after morphing.
- Meshworks Morpher V4.0 has un-paralleled features with respect to the depth of morphing capabilities and breadth of application covering structures and fluids problems as relevant to various industries.

Major application areas of Meshworks Morpher V4.0:
|
- Morphing
- component and full vechicle system FE/CFD models (Crash, NVH, Airflow etc.) can be morphed to fit new styling lines.
- Control block, Parabolic, Spherical and Polycubic morphing capabilities.
- Specialized morphing such as fillet radius change , section change, pattern morphing.
|
 |
 |
- Remeshing and Re-assembly
- Using the advanced 2D and 3D remeshing capabilities, the morphed models can be remeshed to create good quality elements, ensuring connectivity to the surrounding mesh including rewelding and reassembly.
|
- Resmeshing can be applied to the following types of meshes:
- Quad, Tria & Tetra
- Linear and higher order
- Using the connector definations, various types of connector elements such as ACM, RBE2(Nastron),MAT100 (Dyna) etc. will be automatically created.

- Large model handling
- Meshworks Morpher can handle large scale models in excess of 50 million cells.
- Easy model handling by a local/global modeling approach.
|
 |
- Concept Modeling
- Advanced Cutting, blending and stitching functions to rapidly create concept models – for example conversion of SUV model to create pick up truck.
- Feature insertion- Capability of inserting complex geometries into FE/CFD meshes.
|
 |
- Parameterization and Optimization
- With a few mouse clicks, existing FE/CFD models can be read into the morpher and converted into intelligent ‘parametric’ models, creating multiple design data decks
- With interfaces to all major optimization software , the parametric models can be exercised to set up shape and size optimization studies.
Over 400 optimization studies have been conducted over the past 3 years. |
